Description:
Montgomery
County, Maryland, through the Department of Technology Services (DTS),
is issuing this Contract to procure IT consulting and technical services
for the County on an as needed basis. The intent and objective of this
Contract is to enable County Using Departments to procure IT consulting
and technical services in a timely and economical manner, on an as
needed basis.
Through this County-wide contract vehicle, we will meet the needs for
the County in two ways:

The
consulting aspect of this Contract is designed to provide the County
with a ready source of highly qualified IT firms to provide IT
consulting services in specific functional areas in a project-oriented
manner which will entail the issuance of, generally, fixed-price task
orders wherein payments would be made upon the County’s acceptance of
deliverables.

The
technical services aspect of this Contract is intended to meet the
County’s needs through the issuance of, generally, Time & Material (T&M)
task orders for the services of specific individuals with a predefined
technical skill wherein Contractor furnished IT staff would be engaged
in a manner traditionally described in the industry as “staff
augmentation.”
